As the economy grew worse, so did small scrapbook stores' chances of making ends meet. There are a few scrapbook stores left, but hardly any in comparison to what it was five years ago. As the stores began to close, our embellishments and whatnot had no place to sell other than the Internet. My mom and I were not very good at e-marketing, not to mention LIFE happened, and now we are just about ready to give up the Scrap Anatomy website.

While we still scrapbook, lately our attention has been focused on new crafty endeavors such as painting! We are having soooooo much fun getting back into our paints and paintbrushes! We will not be updating the Scrap Anatomy blogspot, so please visit us at our art blogs!

Paper Garden Revisited

For a couple years I designed pages for a cool scrapbook kit club called Paper Garden. Originated by the marvelous Christine Shows and then taken over by the fantastic Mattie Soria. I was always excited to get the monthly kit and see fresh, new paper that was just being released from the manufacturers. Sometimes there would be luxury items that I would never spend the money on myself, but would find myself loving and wanting to buy more. For example, big brads, alphabet stickers, paint masks, and more.

Here are some of my favorite pages that I made. Seeing that I did it for a couple years, I have more favs, but these are a few I found on my memory stick. Go to the website under Gallery to see more.

Blank Pages for Halley's Album

I made these pages blank of purpose. Lately I have been scrapbooking for pretty much everyone but me. I love to make scrapbooks as gifts for my friends, especially if it's for a new baby! 

Here are some layouts that I made for my for Halley's first birthday album. I had a lot of fun making "She's Got Personality" and "Halley's Top Picks." I used stamps that leave room for you to journal small tidbits. 

On the "Arizona" page my mom made dry-embossed embellishments for me. She is awesome! 

Also, if you click on the layout and see it up close, you can find the measurements for the future photo in pencil. I figured it would make cutting and pasting the pics in a lot easier.

Here are some pages and cards that I am posting just for fun. This blog is very easy to post pics on, whereas my website I have to find my password, login, blah, blah...

It's been a long time since I've done anything scrapbook related, but these are pages I have never posted. A few of them are from the scrapbook kit club I used to design for called Paper Garden Scrapbooking. I think I'll try to keep posting things I am doing in case anyone is interested.

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since I've updated anything. Right now we are slowing down embellishment making since I started working. Mom is still making specialized embellishments (aka---her OWN HANDMADE dry-embossed embellishments) for Scrapbooks and More in Canyon Lake. New Changes on SA Website!

Hi, everyone. Well, our website looks different from before! We are using a service that allows you to edit everything on your own (it's like a "Building a Website for Dummies") and even put up and manage your own online store. We are excited to be independent and do all of this without having to beg my husband. It doesn't look the same as before (we all agree it was cuter before, but I have no idea how to customize it yet), BUT it is so much more efficient. Now I can update all of the time.

Anyway, nothing big going on at the moment. We brought in a large order to It's About Time and it usually takes some time for them to check it all in since we don't have bar codes. Meanwhile, Mom has been creating so many new templates. You will die when you see them! Especially the little animals.

Mom and Dad got a kayak that has pedals on the bottom so it's easier to maneuver. It looks really cool, but I haven't seen it in action yet. Matt and I got back from our honeymoon a couple weeks ago and we are still looking for a place. My friend Jackie is about to have her baby girl any day, so we are on pins and needles waiting for her birth day. Well, go to our website and check it all out!

New Design for the Website

Hi, everybody! Well, today I am going to work with my handsome man on the main Scrap Anatomy website. I have lots of embellishments to add as well as a whole NEW look. I've designed it all and I think it's pretty cute. It looks clean but it still gives the impression I am a scrapper. I am so glad I have gotten better at Photoshop Elements. If only I could figure out how to update the page myself...argh! Well, recently "Polly's Pals" took some of our font CDs to a rubber stamping show (you can visit her webpage at www.pollyspals.com). Classes just started up for me again, but I am only there two days a week, so it still gives me a good amount of time to work.

New Product...Delayed Posting

Valentine's Day and Easter are just around the corner...

There were many Christmas additions and now I am working on Valentine's Day and Easter. I just received some of the new Lasting Impressions dry-embossing templates and they are so adorable! I cannot wait to clear of my scrapbooking desk and start working away. It seems as if there is never enough time in the day, but I did get the chance to make a fun Valentine's page and some of the embellishments to go with it. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. Here's to a great year ahead for all of us!
